Susan Annette Spearman Lunsford, age 58, of Temple, GA, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007, in a fatal car accident in Carroll County. She was born on November 2, 1948, in Fairburn, GA, to the late Fletcher William Spearman, Sr., and the late Ellen Joe Spearman. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Thomas "Tommy" Lunsford, her granddaughter, Katie Lunsford, and a brother, Howard Spearman. Mrs. Lunsford was a homemaker and a member of the Temple United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Walker, Carrollton, GA; son, Gary L. Congo, Jr., Temple, GA; sisters, Frances Phipps, Villa Rica, GA, Faye Lackey, Griffin, GA, Cynthia Joyce Laminack, Temple, GA, and Pam Summerville, Bremen, GA; brothers, Fletcher "Buddy" Spearman, Jr., Dalton, GA, and Troy Spearman, Gulf Breeze, FL; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held from Hightower's Memorial Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 3, 2006, with Reverend Gerald Sailors officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The Villa Rica Police Department will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 2, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Hightower's Memorial Chapel, Douglasville, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
