Obituary

Susan Ann "Nina" Williams, age 69, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at Southwest Christian Care in Union City, Georgia.

Born on September 1, 1956, in Marietta, Georgia, Susan was the daughter of the late William Allen McDaniel and Mary Edith Waters McDaniel. She lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to her family, and a warm, caring spirit that endeared her to all who knew her.

Susan dedicated more than 30 years of service to Walmart, where she worked as a Customer Service Manager. Her commitment to helping others and her friendly demeanor made a lasting impression on both her coworkers and the countless customers she assisted throughout her career.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Susan's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved and took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Her home was always open to anyone who needed a meal, a listening ear, or simply a place to belong. Susan never met a stranger, and over the years she welcomed countless friends and loved ones into her home, many of whom she lovingly claimed as her own children. Her generous heart and nurturing spirit created a family that extended far beyond blood relations. She was also an avid fan of Alabama football and enjoyed cheering on the Crimson Tide.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Patrick Williams Sr.; her children, James McDaniel, Daphne Lyle, Mandy Pitts (Bubba), Heather Wallace (Jason), and Michael Patrick Williams, Jr. (Tara); her sisters, Rebecca Ball and Tracy Hawk (Larry); her brother, Dow McDaniel (Linda); her grandchildren, Braxton Pitts, Baileigh Baker, Cameron Lyle, Alyssa-Ann Lyle, Emma Wallace, Anna Wallace, Ella Wallace, Aubrey Lyle, Chase McDaniel, Mason McDaniel, Canala McDaniel, and Khyla Bell; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and her beloved dog and best friend, Yoda, who will cherish her memory forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Community First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Though she will be deeply missed, Susan's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
