Timothy "Tim" Levi
Pate
Feb 26, 1970 — Oct 17, 2023
Timothy "Tim" Levi Pate, age 53, of Bowdon, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023. He was born February 26, 1970, in Carroll County, the son of Mr. Terry Franklin Pate and Mrs. Corrie Dean Edwards Pate.
Tim's love for Jesus radiated through him, and he passionately shared the gospel with family, friends, and strangers. He was a lifelong and faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
In 1989, Tim graduated from Central High School and then from the University of West Georgia in 1995. He went on to work as a DFCS Case Worker for 12 years until his health prevented him from working outside the home. He took on the role of a stay-at-home husband and father who selflessly cared for and spoiled his wife and daughter. He loved his family, and they certainly loved him.
Tim was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. On the days he was feeling particularly good, he enjoyed playing basketball.
In addition to his parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Tammy June Houston Pate; daughter, Alyssa Brooke Pate; brother & sister-in-law, Kelton & LaDonna Pate; niece, Katelyne Grace Pate; nephew, Stephen Andrew Pate; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Buford Franklin Pate & Eula Christine Taylor Pate, and maternal grandparents, Grady Watson Edwards & Faye Elvie Phillips Edwards.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with Pastor Shane Roberson and Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Byron Merrell, Shane Rivers, Clay Smith, Brad Spruill, Mark Edwards, and Jacob Richards.
