Troy Bass Nixon, age 66, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Born on June 24, 1959, he was the son of the late Jerrell Nixon and Mildred Bass Nixon.

Troy was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved the thrill of offshore fishing, the freedom of riding his motorcycle, and the peaceful escape of beachside getaways. Whether reeling in a catch or chasing the horizon on two wheels, Troy found joy in life's simple adventures.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Eric Haynes; his son, Brian Nixon; and his cherished grandchildren, Austin Cotner and Jasper Allen. He also leaves behind his nephew, Nick Nixon, and niece, Tyler Nixon, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss his laid-back spirit and love for life.

In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his three brothers, Dwight Nixon, Terry Nixon, and Noel Nixon. Though he experienced great loss in his life, Troy carried the memory of his loved ones with quiet strength and resilience.

In accordance with his wishes, Troy will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
