Vance Buchanan, age 47 of Villa Rica, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. He was born November 03, 1968 in Carroll County to Martha Nell Cooley Buchanan and the late Vernon Buchanan, Sr. He currently worked as a forklift operator for Southwire Company. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Daphne Buchanan. Survivors include his wife, Jill Phillips Buchanan of Villa Rica; his children, Joshua Buchanan, Jordi Buchanan, Jeremiah Buchanan, and Jaci Buchanan all of Villa Rica; his mother, Martha Nell Buchanan of Bowdon; sister and brother-in-law, Shelane and Dennis McKey of Gaffney, SC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon Jr and Angela of Bowdon, and Robert L. and Sharon Thomas of Bowdon; two daughters, Brittany Buchanan and Ariel Collins of Carrollton; one grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 03, 2016 at 11:00 AM from Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Limbaugh and Assistant Pastor Ben Bonner officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 02, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
