Mrs. Virginia "Jenny" Shumake Hartsfield, 71 of Temple passed away at her residence on October 4, 2025.

She was born on August 26, 1954 in Rockmart, Georgia the daughter of the late William Garland Shumake and Bertie Mae Gray Shumake.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanna Webb Benefield; sisters, Mary Shumake and Francis Holley; brothers, Joe Shumake, Ray Shumake and Fearl Shumake.

Survivors include her husband, Robert G. "Bob" Hartsfield of Temple and a son, Randell Thomas Yancey, Jr of Dawsonville; son in law, Stephen Smith of Dawsonville; sisters, Jean Bone of Dallas, Nita Craig of Temple and Jessie Holley of Temple; brother, Wiley Shumake of Temple; grandchild, Cassidy Webb of Buchanan and great-grandchild, Drake Croley of Buchanan.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 between the hours of 5 – 8 pm.

Graveside Service will be conducted on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Corky Addison officiating.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
