Obituary

Virginia "Anne" Parker, a devoted mother, grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 30, 2025. Born on April 5, 1946, Anne lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories shared with those around her.

Anne was raised and lived in the Bowdon Junction community most of her life. She was a proud graduate of Mt. Zion High School. Anne began her career in retail sales at Sears and later with Sony Records, where she dedicated 22 fulfilling years to the music industry. Later, she worked as the property manager of Cross Creek Apartments, a role that she loved dearly and became a steady source of kindness and support to countless residents and families.

Annes's life was anchored by her faith. As a member of Glenloch Baptist Church, she was known for her authenticity, compassion, and her welcoming smile. Her warmth and friendly spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Harvey Milard Parker and Bertha Lovvorn Parker, as well as a daughter, Connie Whaley, and a grandson, Parker Emanuel Farley.

Above all, Anne's greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Samantha "Mindy" Farley, and son-in-law, William Farley; son-in-law, John Whaley; her treasured grandchildren, Marquez McClendon, Ashli Poole, Stephen Whaley, Tre'Mario Heard, Landon Heard, and Alexis Farley; and her five adored great-grandchildren. To them, and to all who knew her, she leaves a legacy of love, faith, and grace.

Family and friends are invited to honor Anne's life and celebrate the many ways she touched our hearts.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12 PM until 1:30 PM.
