Obituary

Wilfred Eugene "PawPaw" Rohling, 87, of Lithia Springs, GA passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 with his loving wife, Patricia "MawMaw", and his family prayerfully by his side. Born in Lawrenceburg, TN on October 24, 1938, he was the third of eight children of Bernard Lawrence and Catherine (Meyer) Rohling. Pat and Wilfred were married on May 9, 1959 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Alto, TN. They quickly moved to Atlanta before settling in Lithia Springs where they raised their family. Wilfred was a 50 year member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where he served as a dedicated Knight of Columbus. Wilfred volunteered his time to live out the corporal works of mercy by delivering food for Meals on Wheels, assisting with the Saint Vincent dePaul Society, and using his extensive carpentry skills to help those in need in any way he could. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. Wilfred lived his faith through service, humility, and love, leaving behind a legacy that reflects a life devoted to God, family, and helping others.

Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: (Charles Leonard, James Arnold, and Richard Lawrence "Bobby"), and one grandchild: (Cameron). He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 66 years; his sons: Francis Eugene (Jayne) of Atlanta, GA, Keith (Sherre) of Thomaston, GA, and Gregory (Emily) of Center, AL; grandchildren: Christopher (Pamela), Kattie, Charlotte (Greg) McCormick, Michael, Charles (Anne), Patrick (Sandra), Christian, Sarah (Erik), Cherlee (Joseph) Ajudua, Weldon, Waylon, Weston, William, Warren, Stephanie, Sophia, and Wilfred; great-grandchildren: Nathaniel, Jonathan, Abigail, Juliana, Bailey, Parker, William, Margaret, Whitton, Coraline, and Warren, Jr.; siblings: Margaret Ann Hollman, Imogene (Jim) Kollefrath, Leo Kenneth (Cathy), and David (Christine); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins that he loved dearly.
