William John Tyson, age 78, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on June 3, 2025. He was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1947, son of the late Harry Tyson and the late Nancy Anthony Tyson. He was veteran of the United States Air Force, 556 RED HORSE Civil Engineering Squadron. He enjoyed cutting his grass, gardening, military aircrafts, reading novels, and photography. He is known for the love he had for his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Adamson Tyson; children: David Tyson and his wife Jessie, Nancy Tyson; grandchildren: Maleah Tyson, Livia Tyson, Pierce Tyson, Ella Bates; sisters: Ruth Sabatini and her husband Art, Mary Ann Hopkins, Beth Park and her husband Bill, Jean Tyson and her husband Alan Schwartzman.

A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
